Let’s talk about inBody Dimension’s basic meditation foundation. Our meditation’s intent is to become conscious of our self as spirit and how we create a relationship with our body.
Our philosophy validates this process – you are a spirit with a history of incarnating on this planet or other universes and you are connected to the Supreme Being/God. When you decided to incarnate in your current body, you as spirit created goals for this life time. As you connect to your body, you begin to explore how your body worked – the movements, emotions – all physical interactions with your world. As your awareness develops so does your consciousness – thought processes in the physical body. Your consciousness is what we call your soul personality or personality.
Your life experience creates your soul personality. Your parents, siblings, friends and associates influence your outlook on life, thus your soul personality creates patterns and behaviors. This is a good thing when you are learning the mechanics of your body because when you enter the body as spirit, the body can’t hold all of your spiritual information thus you become unconscious to it. As you strengthen your body/being communication you are able to access your spiritual information. The biggest challenge in this communication is that if you invest most of your awareness in the soul personality, you lose awareness of the greater part of you – the spirit. Jesus expressed this experience of loss when he said what if a man gained the whole world and lost his own soul?
The investment in our personality (learning, developing opinions, defining one’s self) is a part of life; however, we don’t want to become unconscious of our real self – the spirit. The miracle of life is the ability to express our spiritual self through the physical body while creating relationships and life experiences with others. Enjoying the self awareness and exploring the physical life around us is our true mission in life. Meditation creates this balance. We meditate to remove the unconscious blocks from knowing our true self. We live in the world to explore the physical sensations of living. Walking with awareness is to bring true joy, acceptance, and understanding to our life.
